Leif
Karate
Leif Karate is one of the greater bands in the world,
if you like their music that is. We originally formed
back in -99 in the cold and harsh environment of Sundsvall,
Sweden. We never really knew we were talented musicians
and we never had a clear musical destination, it all
just happened. Great music found us, not the other way
around. Our music is often intense and we believe that
there’s a treat in there for everyone. The special
sound, the essence, is squeezed out of the mix from
the 5 members battling with melodies. The Live performances
have been many, and overwhelming, and we have played
the best and the worst clubs in Scandinavia, and will
play the best and worst clubs all over the world in
the future, our songs have been featured in WB’s
One Tree Hill, Fox’s Inconvincible and Ulf Malmros
“Slim Susie” among others. The debut album
“Let’s back the wrong band” was released
in early 2005, actually it wasn’t that good due
to different conditions, but Television’s Richard
Lloyd played a pretty bad guitar solo on one of the
songs, that’s pretty cool!

Hägga
Once upon a time there was this boy who sang songs like
King of the Road and Streets of London while his father
played the organ. The boy also wore glasses. He didn’t
like his glasses very much, although they were the coolest
glasses ever known, and so one day he left them in a park.
When he got home he couldn’t really tell the difference
between his mother and father, because of his bad seeing,
but one of them asked him about the glasses and the boy
said that he lost them, although that wasn’t really
true. The same thing happened a couple of times and a
few years later the same boy recorded a couple of songs
witch he decided to share with others on the world wide
web.

Folding
A Firehose
Prior to recording 'Verdict + Story EP', the five members
of Folding A Firehose had played weddings and funerals
all across the country, albeit under a different name.
Having had their share of playing 'Lady In Red', 'Vem
Kan Segla', and such numbers, the five quit their paying
gigs in favour of music closer to their hearts. "I
dont know if it was the weddings or the funerals"
guitarist and singer Mattias said, "but at one
point I just felt like crying." In the summer of
2006 they took their experiences of sadness and joy
and crammed it all into the four songs appearing on
'Verdict + Story EP'.

The Soft Eyes (Instant Feelings)
The Soft Eyes are Linda Hörnqvist, Johan Sigerud and Daniel
Värjö. Some might say the band is a side project because
Johan also plays with my Orchard, Linda with Marit Bergman,
Daniel with The Concretes and Marit
Bergman, but "side project" sounds so dull. We would
like to say that it's just our band. The kind of band we wanted
to form when we met a couple of years ago is an easy going band,
that plays with instruments you can carry, doesn't spend day
after day rehearsing and that records the songs as soon as possible
after they are written on whatever there's at hand. We want
to capture the instant feelings of the songs. The limitations
in time and equipment is a strength, at least that's what we
think.

The Grand Opening (Tapete)
John Roger Olsson recorded an album at various locations in Stockholm during 2005 and 2006. With the help of producer Linus Larsson
(Moneybrother, Anna Ternheim) he created songs that hover between melancholy and greatness, songs that Elliott Smith would have loved. German label Tapete Records released "This Is Nowhere To Be Found" in Europe. Distributed by Dotshop in Sweden. When the band plays live as a 3-piece, magic fills the room.
